Privacy Policy
What we collect when you contact us or use our AI assistant, why we collect it, who it goes to, and how to have it removed.
The short version
We collect your name, company, email address, and message when you fill in our contact form, and your name and email address when you ask our AI assistant to book a call or connect you with a person. We use that to reply to you and to do the work you ask for. Chat messages are processed by OpenAI so the assistant can answer. Notification emails are delivered through Resend, and call bookings run on Calendly. We do not sell your data and we do not track you around the web. Email okworcm@gmail.com at any time to see what we hold or to have it deleted.
Who we are
CoreLine Automations is an automation and AI systems studio founded by Okwor Chibuike and based in Lagos, Nigeria. We are the party responsible for the personal data described on this page, and we decide why and how it is used.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through corelineautomations.com, why we collect it, who it is shared with, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to reflect the transparency duties set out in the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), which is overseen by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Questions about anything here can go to okworcm@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. There is no account system on this site and no sign up.
- Contact form. When you send a request from our contact page we receive your name, your company name, your email address, and the message you write. Email address and message are required so that we can reply. Name and company are optional.
- AI chat assistant. When you use the chat widget, the messages you type are processed so a reply can be generated. If you ask to book a call, or you ask to speak with a person, the assistant may ask for your name and email address so that we can follow up. Those details, together with a short summary of the conversation, are then emailed to us.
- Booking a call. If you use our booking link, the scheduling happens on Calendly and whatever you enter there, such as your name, email address, and answers to any booking questions, is collected by Calendly and shared with us.
- Technical information. As with most websites, the servers that host this site may record standard technical details such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This supports security, uptime, and troubleshooting.
We do not ask for payment card numbers, bank details, passwords, or government identity numbers through this website, and we do not ask for sensitive categories of data such as health or biometric information. Please do not type confidential client data, credentials, or anything sensitive into the message box or the chat window.
Why we collect it
We use the information above for these purposes only:
- To read and reply to your enquiry.
- To arrange, prepare for, and follow up on strategy calls.
- To scope, quote, and deliver the automation work you ask us for.
- To keep ordinary records of our business correspondence.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
Our basis for processing is your consent when you choose to send us a message or start a chat, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the studio, and the performance of a contract once you become a client. We do not use your details for advertising, we do not add you to a marketing list without asking, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
How the AI chat assistant works
The assistant in the chat window is powered by OpenAI. The messages you send in that window, along with the instructions that describe our services, are transmitted to OpenAI so that a reply can be generated and streamed back to you. In plain terms: what you type into the chat leaves this site and is processed by OpenAI.
Your conversation stays in your browser for the length of your visit. We do not save chat transcripts to a database. The only part of a conversation that reaches us is the notification email described above, which is sent when you ask to book a call or you ask for a person, and which contains the name and email address you gave plus a short summary written by the assistant.
The assistant can be wrong. Treat what it says as general information about our services rather than a binding quote or professional advice.
Where your information is processed
We operate from Nigeria, but the providers named above run their services from other countries, including locations in the United States and Europe. That means information you send us may be processed outside Nigeria. We choose established providers that publish their own data protection commitments and offer contractual protections for the data they handle on our behalf. If you would rather not have your details processed this way, you can message us on WhatsApp instead of using the form or the chat.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails and related correspondence for as long as we need them to answer you, to deliver work you asked for, and to keep ordinary business and accounting records. Once information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it.
You do not have to wait for that. Email okworcm@gmail.com and ask us to delete what we hold about you, and we will do so unless we are required to keep a record for a legal or accounting reason, in which case we will tell you what we are keeping and why.
Your rights under the NDPA
The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 gives you rights over your personal data. You can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy of it.
- Correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your personal data.
- Stop or limit a particular use of your data, including objecting to it.
- Provide your data in a portable form so you can move it elsewhere.
- Withdraw consent at any time, which stops future processing based on that consent.
To use any of these rights, email okworcm@gmail.com with a short description of what you want. We may ask a question or two to confirm that the request really comes from you. We aim to respond promptly and, in any case, within the time the law allows. Using these rights costs you nothing.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
How we protect information
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Keys for our email and AI providers are held as server side environment variables and are never exposed to your browser. Access to the inbox that receives enquiries is limited to the studio. That said, no method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid putting anything highly sensitive into a web form or a chat window, ours included.
Children
This is a business to business website and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our tools or our practices change. The date at the top of the page always shows when it was last revised. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on the page rather than quietly editing it.
A plain note on this page
We publish this policy so you can see exactly what happens to information you give us. It is written in ordinary language for transparency, and it is not legal advice. It does not replace advice from a qualified lawyer, and nothing here should be read as a claim of certification by any regulator.
